About the role
Network implementation and migration engineer (L3) for enterprise Cisco Routing and Switching engagements, working remotely or onsite. You will own implementation and migration tasks, build and review high-level and low-level designs and change management plans, and set up test environments to resolve complex compatibility issues.
Hands-on depth on Catalyst 9K (installation, commissioning, configuration) is mandatory, along with strong routing and switching fundamentals: BGP, OSPF, vPC, multicast, STP / RSTP / MSTP, NAT, PBR and HSRP. You will also handle firmware upgrades, replace faulty hardware and report configuration and project status to stakeholders. 8+ years of experience required.
Must-have skills
- Cisco Catalyst 9K installation, commissioning and configuration
- Cisco switching platforms (Catalyst 2K / 3K / 4K / 6K)
- Routing and switching: BGP, OSPF, vPC, multicast, STP / RSTP / MSTP, NAT, PBR, HSRP
- HLD / LLD and change management plan preparation
Good to have
- IGP / EGP, VTP, VSS, LACP, VLAN
- Firmware upgrades and hardware replacement
- Stakeholder status reporting
