About the role
SAP Data Archiving Architect to design, implement and govern SAP data and document archiving solutions across fashion, retail, wholesale and eCommerce business processes. You will define the enterprise archiving strategy and retention policies, assess data volumes and database growth, and identify archiving objects and data-aging candidates.
You will design SAP ILM and archiving solutions, define the archive repository architecture, configure archive objects and retention rules, and run write, store, delete and retrieval processes, including SAP Archive Information System (AIS) and archive object customisation. Hands-on SAP data archiving project experience is mandatory; BW-only profiles will not be considered.
Must-have skills
- Hands-on SAP data archiving project experience (no BW-only profiles)
- 12+ years total experience, 6+ years in SAP Data Archiving / SAP ILM
- Archiving strategy and full data archiving lifecycle definition and documentation
- Data identification, eligibility and archiving execution / validation
- At least three archiving or S/4HANA transformation projects
- Experience in AFS, IS-Retail or S/4HANA
Good to have
- Archive repositories such as OpenText, Doxis or PBS
- SAP data volume assessment and database growth analysis
- Archive job monitoring and optimisation
